Today I'm Feeling Bright.

So although today is a little on the gloomy side, I was feeling a bright and retro chic outfit. 

After I put it on I thought, hmmmm...maybe I should take a few cheesy pictures and post it on my blog.

So this is me doing that.

This outfit is pretty much my blog posts put to the test.

Turquoise Accent.

I love turquoise!

It's fun, it adds spice, and the color is flat out gorgeous.

Turquoise is amazing to wear in all seasons for any occasion, but for some reason I always associate it with Summer.

It can be the perfect accent to any outfit. 

You think I'm kidding? Try it out and you will see!

I promise, you try it once and you will be addicted. 

(That's what happened to me.)

 My beautiful sister is the model today :) Here she is using a bold, chunky turquoise accent! Isn't it fabulous? Isn't she gorgeous?

 So you can accent with a lot or a little. Here she is using more, she has a bold necklace, turquoise flip flops and a bracelet.

 A turquoise bracelet, and it brings out the turquoise in the dress.

 Told you you could wear it with any outfit. Here you wouldn't think to pair it with those colors but it really adds a pop.

Here she just has a neutral colored outfit on so the turquoise adds a little spice.

Turquoise is seriously one of the greatest colors ever, and one of the greatest accessories to own. But you don't have to just use turquoise jewelry to accent outfits, you can use just the color too.

I think turquoise makes the world a brighter and better place! Interesting fact about turquoise...It's a universal color, which basically means it looks good on everyone! (Thanks for the tip Mariah.) And a big thanks Cec for modeling for me! You're the best!

Colored Skinny Jeans.

Colored Skinny Jeans...

Bright. Fun. Vibrant. Esteemed.

Colored skinny jeans are a statement piece: They are both bright and form-fitting. 
Colored skinny jeans are tricky for that same reason and it can be really hard to find the right outfit. 

But no worries...That's what this blog is for!

Tips to wearing Colored Jeans:

1. Put them on. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you look great.

2. Choose a looser fitting shirt. Fun print for chic confidence or a neutral to turn heads but play it safe.

3. Wear a heel to elongate the leg. Or just choose a shoe you feel confident in.

4. If it's your first time wearing colored skinnies play it safe and pair with a neutral top and tall heel to balance out brightness and snug fit.

5. MOST IMPORTANT, wear it with confidence! :)

 Trendy Safe. Pink paired with a neutral a heel. Classy.

 Business Chic. Maroon jean paired with a neutral blouse and blazer. Heel to elongate her leg. And a splash of more color in her belt. Confidence.

Bold, Beautiful red. This outfit it definitely a fashion statement. Pairing red with red, then adding a splash of brown in the heel and vest. Sassy.

 Everyday Flirty. Brown jean with a cute sweater and accent shoe. This look has more of a oldies brought modern look. Fun.

 Vintage fabulous. 80's looking evergreen jeans paired fabulously with a blue buttondown and trendy cardigan, and classy heel. (For more ways to wear cardigans click here.) Fabulous.

Pattern friendly. Forest green jeans paired with a neutral print and trendy shoe. This look is simple and easy to pull off, but still fashionable. Trendy.

Striped wonderfully. Stripes is always an easy and safe way to wear colored jeans. (Click here for more stripe ideas.) Adding a blazer adds style. Stylish.

 Simple statement. Mint green jeans with a flowy white shirt and neutral heel. This look is universal but says you know how to dress. Universal. 

 Basic black. Black jeans are basic and becoming more of a standard now a days. Dress them up to be more fashionable with a bold statement like red. Black, of course, can be worn with anything really. Basic.

Vibrant blue. Electric blue jean with a neutral top and a black heel. Will turn heads, in a good way. Electric.

The diverse ways a woman can wear the cardigan is infinite and year-round, which makes the cardigan a MUST-HAVE for any woman's wardrobe.

Cardigans can be worn casually over a t-shirt with some jeans. 

 

 Or skip the t-shirt and wear just a cardigan with jeans. 

 

They can be worn over almost any dress to add more demension and texture to the outfit.

Cardigans can be used as a swim suit cover up.
